John Forrest is one of this country’s masters of botrytised sweet Riesling wines. He has numerous top awards for this style of wine, with the expertise in fruit selection to maintain fruit integrity with the effects of noble rot, and the careful vinification to avoid any characters which may spoil the balance and flavour of the resultant wine. Most of his sweet wines are bottled under the ‘John Forrest Collection’ label, but there are wines under the ‘Forrest’ estate brand, and these can be veritable bargains."
