"The classy 2016 vintage was estate-grown and hand-harvested at Gibbston, over 400 metres above sea level, and matured for a year in French oak casks (40 per cent new). Deep and youthful in colour, it is very fragrant, concentrated and supple, with generous, ripe cherry, plum and spice flavours, wellintegrated oak,
fine-grained tannins, and excellent depth and harmony. Already delicious, it should be at its best 2020+."
